He heard me on the radio talking about defending businesses from lockdown citations. He was upset.

He was upset because he went for an x ray and they wouldn’t do it if he didn’t pull his mask over his nose. He refused and they told him to leave. I think he expected me to leap to his defense. I explained to him that rights work both ways. While I support and defend businesses’ right to operate, they also have the right to impose the rules that they think are appropriate, and to refuse service if you do not comply. He did not like this answer, and was unhappy with me . I also got some terrible news on a few things, so all in all a pretty crappy day.

I am tired of humanity today.

A lot of folks don’t realize that the rules cut both ways.

I hope the rest works itself out.

He can claim he has a medical issue that prevents him from wearing one. There wouldn’t be a way to prove that, right? A doctor’s office may expect more, but I’ve honestly thought about dropping that excuse at the few places that require them. I can barely breathe while wearing my mask (even a little blue restaurant-like one), and I’m thinking about writing “Watch Plandemic” on it to be difficult.*

Thankfully, the only place I go to that requires a mask right now is my climbing gym, but that’s where it’s honestly worse to wear a mask.

*I wouldn’t write something on it, but the temptation to show others that masks  suck is strong.

I was having a bad day at work too (my employer is headlining right now).

I made it better by calling my sister, enjoying the village’s graduation parade, and accepting that I do my best at the end of the day.

You do your job well. Don’t let it get under your skin.

Too many people think the the rules are for others and not them.

Why even bother wearing a mask if your not going to wear it properly.

Even so, he could of easily complied, got the x-ray done and been on his way.

I hope they send him a fee for essentially missing the appointment.

Ye’, people suck.

I was not a happy camper last week. I thought we were going to have to stop work on a project I’ve poured my heart and soul into over the past year because people can’t act like adults. I’m starting to wonder if there are still adults out there.

I’ve been having  some weird health stuff over the last few months. Felt like my blood pressure was spiking and that my head was going to explode (it was, but my heart was more likely to explode). My sister is a nurse and every time I’d go to her house to take my BP, it would be on the low side. Starting taking it myself at my house and it was scary high. Sisters, man. Life savers.

But most of us would never let them know!

(I'm super proud of her, she starts a new job soon and is moving in with her boyfriend)

Dental x rays aren’t that powerful. They barely see through our cheeks. Anything more powerful and you’re better off getting covid.

Not being able to wear a mask is not a great defense given that there is a lot of data on healthcare workers in mas ks and nothing to suggest there are good reasons to not wear one from a medical standpoint.  I.e. as far as I know there is no medical reason not to wear a mask.

My sis-in-law was a student at the high school (at the time) on which Fast Times was based on. She knew Spicoli.
