Oh, that’s nice. The Six is just about perfect for what I want in a plane. Plenty of useful load, seating for six or four with luggage, and just enough performance to make me feel like I’m going somewhere fast .

My brother made a post here back in 2017 about our Uncle Don and his plane, with more photos . In fact, my son was digging through our box of family photos the other day and I found some photos from the family reunion on my grandmother’s 80th birthday, complete with aerial photos of Somerset, PA taken during a ride in my uncle’s plane. We were all standing around the afternoon of the party, chewing the fat, and Don said, in his deep, slow PA accent and a grin on his face , “Well, anybody want to go flying?” And we were off.

No discussion of teal airplanes would be complete without a Braniff nod:

I want that to be me. Just be hanging out at the reunion and ask, “Anyone want to go flying?”
