Got my new bike rack and trailer hitch installed on my 6. I also added a Mazda trailer hitch cover for when the rack isn’t on there, because I’m extra.
Now, to hit the trails and start becoming less fat.

Where’d you get the hitch installed? I’m considering it, but I don’t even know who does them aside from U-Haul, and I have some prejudices there.

Nice. I need one of those hitch covers. Mine started rusting after its first winter

My father-in-law, myself, and my teenage brother-in-law installed it last night. It took about 45 minutes from start to finish. The holes for the hitch are already there in the frame of the car, so the hardest part was using the fish wire to get the bolts and their backing plates through.

They had them on the site I got the hitch from (eTrailer) with the hitch manufacturer’s logo, but I found this Mazda one through a dealer that sells parts on Amazon our of North Carolina.

Nice! I’ve been using the same rack for the past seven years.

Does yours wobble? Mine seems to have a lot of side-to-side going on even though I tightened the bolt holding it as much as I could.

Not that I’ve noticed, maybe you could shim it with some cardboard? My only gripe is with the pins getting rusty.

What’s the max tow rating? I have funny images in my head of a 6 towing a car trailer.

1,600 KG in Europe (3,527 pounds here). But in the U.S., I think the owner’s manual says some BS about “towing not recommended.” I know several guys in the 6 groups that tow jet skis and such with theirs, though. The hitch itself is rated for 2,000 pounds.
