I’m the captain now.
Been visiting with my uncle in upstate NY the past couple day. Today we took his ‘43 Willys MB out. Yes, it’s as fun as it looks. Has a kaiser V6 with quadrajet carb and the 4 speed out of a CJ5. Dual lockers and a floating rear axle, the front leaf springs have been replaced with rear ones. It’s like driving a side by side but way cooler and a WW2 veteran. 10/10 recommend. Engaging the lockers and putting it into 4Lo with the granny 1st gear was neat, as it will crawl at a walking pace without stalling and needs zero pedal input. Also drove his 2017 Canadian market Power Wagon (full options but cloth seats ) and was gonna test drive his ‘06 (sticc!) P ower W agon that I’m trying to buy offa him but there was an issue with the clutch input and it wouldn’t start. Anyway, here’s the power wagons.

(Although I’d prefer skinnies aesthetically, plus my back is too damaged to be able to turn those tires without power steering.)

That jeep is great. And yes, can confirm, with my truck’s gearing you can easily get out and walk next to it in 1st gear 4lo
