Is in progress and going well thus far.
Perfect little spot for it. Won’t block my lights or license plate and from testing won’t obscure much of my rear view ( had to mount it higher than intended to keep from blocking the light/plate ).
Even did a quick visual on hindering trailer use and unless I’m jack-knifing, it won’t cause issue there either.
Now I just gotta finish up the stud plate and get her painted and we’ll be rockin.

The disappointment is real.

Why so high up. To be out of the way of the tow hitch?

Did you consider mounting it lower to reduce its impact on rear visibility, and then relocating the license plate?

So I assume you fold it down to open the hatch? Will there be room to fold it down to open the hatch with a trailer attached? Could you make it shorter and mount the license plate inside it?

Yes.
Yes.
And I could, but I’d rather not.

I love your van and what you’ve done with it. I had a 94 Voyager as my first car and it was awesome!

Honestly, it sits lower than the kid’s heads, so it doesn’t affect visibility at all in my normal use.
I really didn’t feel like moving anything.

To be out of the way of taillight, license plate, and so it can fold with trailer attached.

It’s been my baby for a decade or so now.

I’ve looked for another a couple times since the shorter wheelbase voyager is a really good size. Almost m ore of a wagon than a van but with decent ground clearance and hauling capability . They’re just all rusted to hell here.
Mine when I sold it in 2004 was starting to rust fairly seriously...
It was an excellent road trip vehicle and great hauler.

She’s pushing 300k miles on the body on a lifelong WI vehicle.
They are still out there, even here in the rust belt.
I’ll realistically have mine until it rots off itself.

Wow, three hitch receivers......nice! And, dual exhaust with chrome tips, sweet van!
no, this isn’t sarcasm, even though it might sound like it.

That seems impressively heavy-duty.
