The two-door with the straight six, steel wheels, and roof rack would be my ideal Defender, though I don’t think you can order steel wheels with the straight six :/ Also, the floating window square would bother me.

I think the 2 door models are going to be the ones that are pricey and hard to find due the small number of people that want them.

True, but they look so much better. ..

Straight sixes are like the Berlin City Palace - needlessly junked for an inferior replacement, and now happily brought back.

Land Rover is dead. I think the new Bronco has a shot at being a better vehicle all around.

Base model comes in at 49,999 which really isn’t bad compared to other vehicles in the segment. For the base price you get a lot of features too, air suspension is standard on the 4 door, you also get a touch screen infotainment and terrain response. Honestly I think it’s a great vehicle. The 4 cylinder on the base model is essentially the 6 with 2 cylinders killed off. JLR went to a modular setup with their motors. The 4 and 6 also have fully variable valve lift. Power is also more than enough on the turbo 4.

It’s a great price but we gotta be honest, we probably one see many of these things at that base price at the dealer.

Agreed that most will be spec’d higher at the dealer. However that doesn’t stop the customer from ordering one. We should all ban together to s top the over speccing by dealers and order cars instead.
