I feel like I have discovered my people. Last week we started watching the IT Crowd. Freaking amazing. I have not laughed that hard in a while.

It’s a shame it didn’t last long, but it had some great moments.

NSFW, but ridiculously funny.

I loved and STILL love this show....such a shame it didn’t last longer! Not IT-related, but if you want another really funny British comedy to watch, check out the InBetweeners and it’s two movies!

It was on from 2006 to 2013. The U.K. version anyway, lets not speak of the American version that lost so much of the U.K. version that made it funnier.

They tried an American version and it was garbage. Rehashed script with wooden delivery .

Yup, a lot of those rehashed shows were pretty terrible...

25 episodes. No matter how many years, that’s not much content.

Is it on Netflix or hulu?

Ye’, I take your point.
U.K. shows tend not to have that many episodes per season like many American TV shows.
Mai nl y because U.K. shows are written by two or three writers, while U.S. shows have many writers, episode writers and guest writers.

I’ve become accustomed to that with Sherlock, but at least their episodes are movie-length.
The reason I didn’t think it lasted long is I watched it on Netflix years after the fact. Discovery to done didn’t take long.

Ye’, when you find som ething good, you binge watch it.
I was like that with One Day at a Time and Disjointed. Both very funny with One Day at a Time having an educational note on minorities and immigrants in the U.S., PTSD in ex-military personnel, homosexuality, alcoholism, etc...

One of my favorite shows ever. I frequently re- watch it.

I have found some english tv shows to have many fewer episodes per season but the quality is much higher. Like one episode would be 3 episodes of an american show.

Sherlock.

The Thick of It may be one of my favorite shows of all time. rewatched multiple times and laugh at new stuff. What I love is they don’t break up the pacing for an american laugh track. Additionally some of the jokes are subtlely thrown and not obvious on first watch.

It got a little boring after a while but the first episode is brilliant. Laughed my ass of the first time I saw it.
