Since HBO Now has a free 7-day trial period and gives instant access to HBO Max as of 3am EST today, I signed up last night before going to bed. Updated to Max to see what was available. All the standard HBO movies and series are there AFAIK. I was more interested in the new Adventure Time: Distant Lands specials.
Nope, not available yet.
Ok then, let’s look at Studio Ghibli films.
Looks like there are about 12 of 22 films available. [ETA: I rechecked and there are 21 films listed.]
Crunchyroll? Approximately 14 series listed.
Cartoon Network and Adult Swim? Less than half of their back catalogs.
DC? At least they will have all the animated DC movies, right? Nope, just some of the Batman movies...and no Batman TAS!
Good thing I’m not paying for this.
Thanks, AT&T for half assing the launch of your so called Netflix/Disney+/AppleTV killer app.
ETA: I was so disappointed in the lack of Warner Media back catalogs available that I wanted to see that I just stopped caring about accuracy. So YMMV.

Aren’t they the same price anyway?

Don't know. My only intent was to test out what is on offer for their new service. I have no desire to subscribe to either, mainly due to the amount of data that I have each month (1TB vs. unlimited, which would be $30-$40 more/mo.). Also, I don't really watch the shit that I have now.

A streaming service being hot garbage?

From what I’ve heard, they will release the rest of the catalog from all of those hubs later on. So those shows that are missing will eventually be on there. Seems like they pushed this release in light of the pandemic.

You know what really sucks 70% of people who watch HBO GO will not be able to watch any HBO streaming service on their TV after July 31. Even if they drop the free service they now have and start paying for HBO SUX they still won't be able to.
