Camped in the backyard last night.
Found three of these guys wandering around, and about a dozen shells, if not more. Gonna get loud here, soon.
It was also the dog’s first time camping. She did well. A bit annoying, in that she barked at a lot of noises before settling down, but when she barked she stood between the kids. It was good to see that protectiveness out of the pup. Job well done, dog.

I’ve seen a few shells over by me as well but I thi k we are both far enough north to escape what they are saying will be “an alien like wail” from the brood hatching down near Roanoke. Looks like we have to wait for next year for the biblical type event. Which is weird. I thought everything bad that could happen would happen this calendar year.
