Harbor Freight. Not ideal, but it works. Some look at the locking pegs, and some like this style. I used to have the Craftsman plastic holed plates but they took two drawers and were older designs where I had holes for sockets no longer made (25/32 wtf) or not enough holes for one category (quarter inch 15mm socket!) .

These trays have the spaces for what’s made and doesn’t short you a spot for uncommon outliers. Except for that 21mm deep 3/8 socket I have for my Tacoma lug nuts. But that will get replaced by the 1/2 inch version, for which there is a spot.

The rare gripe over this system is the stick thickness. I had to drill out two of my smallest so the stick fit through. Just a bit, not much. But overall, in one drawer, I’m pretty happy. They aren’t magnetically held in olace. They’re not snapped in. It’s a stationary chest, not for much shoving around, so they’ll be fine. Given the money other systems cost. This is pretty good.

3.5 /5

Should I ever get both full sets of shallow/deep in both 6 and 12 point in all 3 drives, that will only be two drawers. Drawers of excess, cause I’ll never use all that.

But it looks pretty.

I have a few of these from Olsa and have been quite happy.

I have a very similar set from Craftsman circa 2007. 1/2" & 3/8" & 1/4" for Imperial and Metric. They do the job. A c ased torque wrench and one oversized ratchet also fit in my drawer. The rest of the ratchets and whatnot are in another drawer with a “cubby” type layout.

The organizers are HF. Set is gearwrench. I have old Craftsman but it’s missing so much it would be hard to find USA made replacements even used without spending lots. So I filled that set out with the HF stuff for  a travel box. I only need enough to get back on the road again anyway, nothing long lasting in a daily shop.

Yeah those are good. I personally don’t like unsnapping things  from the drawer, Hench my choice.

I have a 72 piece Craftsman set that I originally had in a plastic carrying case I bought, but the latch on it broke. They were always going loose in there anyway. I’ve been contemplating a set of organizers for my craftsman drawer cart, but I can’t make up my mind. These look reasonable. I like the visible labels.

$24 for one set of red sae or black metric. Each set covers all 3 types 1/4,3/8,1/2. So my drawer cost $50 to organize sockets

Di d the same purchase about a month ago.  Bought two sets and have modified to use the second set for the outliers and duplicates.  Worked out well.

Forgive the mess as I’m working on the garage itself right now. But I’ve got a quite the old Craftsman collection

There’s other stuff too. But you get the idea. But the socket organizers are basically the same.
