I’ve spent so much time talking about, and working on, the Aristo, that I haven’t really done anything with the Fiero. It’s still sitting. I’m still planning for it to be a track car long term, but it’s got a lot of work to be done.

Lambo kit car candidate?

Nah, track car. I was thinking about doing an L67 swap but now I’m starting to lean more towards an Ecotec since it’s a bit less complex. Still, the car needs almost everything since it’s been sitting since around 2004. I got it for free last summer.

Man, that reminds me I need to finish the fuel tank for mine. Everything else has been a breeze to get, but somehow the fuel tanks are all either full of holes or rusty.

I’m surprised there’s no aftermarket solution for it. I’m sure mine needs it. Other than that, the GT taillights are the hardest thing to find.

My 88 GT still needs the front end buttoned up (finally did control arm bushings and RD steering rack bushing,) and then decide if I’m going to do the head gaskets and valve seals or just sell it.

If you snagged a 260hp Eco out of a Sky Redline wreck, that would make for a fun end result.

Yeah, would be an easier swap to get it out of a wrecked Cobalt SS though, since I could also use the transmission then. I may just go with the supercharged version and warm it up a bit.

Right. Forgot the Sky was rwd. Is the Eco a common swap with Fieros? What would you do for engine/trans mounts?

It’s not the most common swap, but it has been done. A guy named Roger Thelin sells adapter parts for the swap.
