I have checked all the boxes: No bleeding , no throwing up, eating solid foods, farting, pooping. They pulled the JP drain which was actually not that bad. Now I just need to walk around a bit to make sure toxic sludge doesn’t come pouring out the hole the drain occupied.

In T-minus 75 minutes I’m g oing home. Then the real hard part of recovery beings... wrestling Ozzy off the couch so I can relax and recuperate!

Oh that is a great feeling. Home is so much more comfortable than a hospital bed.

This just popped up on my local Craigslist. U NMODIFIED 2004 V60 R for $3,750! High mileage but clearly loved.

Spaceball! That’s the S60 R, though, not the wagon.

The shop I bought the XC90 from has a V60 R with the spaceball too. ‘Tis a very nice wagon.

No mention of the S60 is complete without Mr. Regular’s review of it.

I could - Id just move him, it wouldn’t be too hard and hes not directly combative. Instead, he is the most passivr-aggressive dog I’ve ever seen. He’d pout and act like a giant baby and make me feel like the biggest asshole ever.

Glad to hear that your on the mend. I spent way too much time in the hospital last year and know what you’re going through. On one visit they were quite surprised to hear that I had driven myself in considering how close to death I apparently was; I felt bad, yeah, but honestly didn’t feel that bad. Getting out was a challenge because of the need for me to have a prescription to be filled that very night for some sixty vials/syringes of blood thinner; I think it was like 3 grocery bags full of medicine. I almost stayed another night because of that snafu. Hopefully your discharge will be easier.

I know. I’m excited just to get home and catch up on sleep. For being a place of healing and stuff, it sure is hard to get a lot of rest in hospitals.

So far so good. Im in the Terrain waiting, Mrs. Snuze is in Walgreens waiting the 10 minutes they told her it would take for the prescription that was sent to them hours ago. At least its not 60 vials, just a few pills.

Somehow that 40 lb dog can take up a whole sofa. He also only accepts scritches on his terms. I swear hes the most passive aggressive dog Ive ever seen.

Fiona is on crack, but she and I are finding our ways together. During the Difficulties, I’ve been playing in the yard with her twice a day and that has helped her greatly in learning how to dog. Still, there are times when I have zero patience for her.

I got home about 4 hours ago - Mrs. Snuze got a recliner for me so now I don’t have to fight Ozzy. Its a win for everyone. He's been sticking really close to me since I got back.

They’ve been going on for quite a while. I even did a series on that when this began on what seems like ages ago. Yes, if I was in the market for a high performance car this would be it. I’ve got a great Volvo specialist I know that could knock out any problems far easier and even cheaper than any other place because he knows these cars so well. I wasn’t in the market for a high performance expensive to maintain Volvo but. . . ya know. . .

That’ s just how it works sometimes, I think . My inlaws had a shih tzu like that, she annoyed the hell out of me but eventually we found our peace.

Regarding your question below, I earned a Ba chelors of S cience in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland back in 2013, after I got out of the Navy. I’m currently working on a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Catholic University. So thank you for paying your taxes, because the the GI Bill paid for the first degree, and my employer, the Dept. of the Navy, is paying for the second.

And I recall that you’re teaching 8th grade math, so thank you for that. It was my math and science teachers that got me interested in engineering which ultimately led me down this road.
