I had an idea of what was going to be in that vid but I enjoyed it anyway. Compared to some places I've been to that service isn't all that bad...

The only “safe” way I can fathom social distance in a restaurant would require patrons not being at the table while food is delivered. So either order in advance then show up to table with food already there (I wish restaurants were always like this), or order, get up, come back to food. Alternatively, order at a counter, then carry your own food to a table. I dunno.

I feel this, half my day is spent trying to dodge customers who are too afraid to make eye contact

We’ve been eating from neighborhood restaurants that have stayed open, and yes, we’ve been tipping generously.

That’s why we’re not going near any restaurants, and certainly not bars. The virus also attaches itself to smoke particles, so presumably, if you’re in a smoky bar, that could make it even worse.

Another reason I’m glad Ohio banned smoking in bars and restaurants

This is true for most of the country actually.
I got myself my first car when I was 27, and even then it was something I wanted rather than something I needed. I did everything by bicycle and, if outside the city, by public transportation. Yet, from Dutch perspectives, I lived about as far away from Amsterdam as I could.
Currently, in the sprawl area of Munich, it is different. Cycle infrastructure sucks (relatively speaking) and the distances are longer. I don't cycle much any more.
