This looks so nice.

If only my left knee wasn’t complete shit, this would be a great work car. Yes, I know the V-8 Hemi Charger would be great also, but, Jaaaaaag.

Would you like it? Can you afford it? Does it scratch an Itch? If you have 2/3 positive answers to the aforementioned then yes.

The knock on this car was always that it wasn’t very luxurious for a Jag. Personally, I always thought it almost pulled of the baby XJ vibe, but the proportions don’t look quite right to my eye. I still kind of like them though.
I think if you like the look, and the car is clean, remember that it’s a Mondeo underneath, so the mechanicals should be pretty good.

These are not comfy. The X-Types has a fairly stiff suspension setup compared to the rest of the line up , and if you plan on keeping it a bit, get a manual. The automatics are not the most reliable. I’d recommen a well cared for S- type before an X-Type. That said, a friend rallies an X-type as is fairly successful with it.

Get the wagon version if you really want one. While Ford underneath, to a point, it still suffers from British re- engineering...

I put over 200,000 miles on an identical model it was comfortable, reliable and a nice car. I never understood the hate.
