Beginning on July 3, Disney+ will begin broadcasting a performance of Hamilton recorded in 2016 with the original cast . They were going to release it in theaters in 2021, but are putting it on D+ due to the pandemic.

Siri has come a long way when she knows how to spell “Disney+”.

I’ve always been a great admirer of Alexander Hamilton, and have wanted to see that for a long time, but I think I’ll still hold off until theaters reopen during the third quarter of 2026, so I can go in fresh and see it live.

Wow. My girls went to see it live, but I didn’t go. I may actually see it now. My daughter learned a lot about history through that play.

Me too. And no way was I going to pay those ticket prices.

Poor enough.

I’ve seen H
amilton and
it’s
very clever,
enjoyable as a performance,
and
great for getting kids of a certain age into history. It’s totally
worth seeing!
HOWEVER:
t
he internet is full of people asking “will I like Hamilton if I don’t like rap music?” T
hose
people all end up
loving
it right up
until OANN tells them
that it’s leftist propaganda
.
T
he question you should be asking is whether you’ll be able to stand it
if
you
do
already
like hip-hop. The answer is basically this: if you
like either
Schoolhouse Rock or Iggy Azalea
, you’ll be fine. I like one of those things and it was worth it.
