Next weekend, I am going to visit my mom, about 140 miles away by the coast. I am going to write a review after the rid e over there, which goes through the Valley, over the mountains, and down to the coast. So it goes through highways and hills, and a couple of micro climates. I will also ride it in the coastal region while I am there so I can give you a good rundown of the bike.
But here are a few things from my first trip to some of my favorite local roads. For any of you who may know this area, I took Friant Road out of Fresno, then North Fork Road through O’Neals to North Fork. Then I went over to Tollhouse, and back to Fresno over Pittman Hill. Temps were in the mid 80s in town, and mid 70s up in the mountains. It was glglorious.
The bike has plenty of power , oodles of torque, and handles like a dream. It is unbelievably stable through curves, and is an absolute joy to ride. I am thrilled with it. I thought the bump in power would be scary after the Ninja, but the Ninja is much scarier to ride because this thing feels so much more stable and inspires so much confidence. Burns gas quickly, tho. The price of horsepower.
Oh yeah, it is warm, but not unbearably so. I was not uncomfortable in town in traffic and at lights. It was like sitting on a heated car seat, not the furnace I was warned about with Ducati.

A Ducati is one of those things I will always want, and likely never buy. I’d do things probably punishable through the geneva convention for a V4, but I’d also die in like 20 minutes. As it is my Ninja is very monster-ish in it’s style. Glad you moved up to (almost) Litrebike gang. It’s a fun club.

Ciao bella! Happy birthday, and e njoy the bike. It really is amazing how much safer stability makes a bike feel. My ‘71 only makes twenty five horse power, but cruising on the highway is fairly puckering experience. The thing just wants to dump you at any speed.

Happy birthday!
We should go for a Jag/Ducati race. We pick your favorite road then see who runs out of gas first.

The furnace in regards to Ducati’s is any of their superbikes, like the Panigale or the bikes previous. I’m talking about no longer being able to have anymore kids because of it, lol.
