Good! I mean not good that it took so long, but good that they have been shamed into taking action. Would be nice if something happened to the people who tried to sweep this under the rug as well.

I'm not holding my breath for true justice since the past 20 years of white cop killing unarmed POC going to a grand jury either get light sentencing or none at all.

Yeah that kind of explains the “I think that’s the robber, I’m going to chase him with my gun” reaction. It’s disgusting, but there are too many people out there for whom this is the default reaction. It’s not right. At all.
I grew up with a racist parent. It can be hard to drive the garbage you grew up hearing every day out of your head . What I know now is that it only takes one generation to make a conscious choice to break the cycle, to refuse to pass along a legacy of hate to their children. I am glad to say that my kids couldn’t care less about the color of someone’s skin. That’s not just thanks to me (far from it), but I am thankful for it every day.

Oh good. I read that story on the Root and was worried that the murderers were gonna get a free pass due to the race and “former police officer” factors.
But this case still needs to be watched keenly.
A 25 year sentence for premeditated murder is what should happen if the word ‘justice’ means anything.
