This is one of the most Florida stories ever, elderly driver gets in improbable and easily avoidable accident in FWD full size Cadillac in the parking lot of a bank branch. I don't know for sure, but as a former bank manager, I can only assume they were there to withdraw $60 cash from the teller for some shopping, because they "don't do machines" .

W e need to mandate older folks can only drive manual transmissions so they can’t accidentally just mash the gas instead of the brake and end up flying across parking lots - this is clearly a safety initiative we can all get behind.
