As reported today,

It’s sad to see companies go. And that got me thinking, what if people tried to help them out by renting cars for a week just for fun.
And that leads to the question of “what do they have that’s interesting”?
Well in Canada, this is what they list:

For me if I were to rent a car from them for fun, I would select either:
Dodge Challenger
Ford Mustang
The Prius (Yeah yeah... I know it’s not a ‘fun’ vehicle, but I actually haven’t gotten around to driving one yet)
Volvo S60
Dodge Durango
Cadillac Escalade
And of these, I think my #1 pick would be... ummm... I think I would go with the Mustang. With the S60, Challenger and Escalade being close runner up choices.

Am I able to drive anywhere interesting and do something worthwhile? If not, the whole point of renting a car kind of falls apart.

If I was going to Switzerland, I’d be happy to help out by putting some miles on one of these....

Mustang Convertible - I’ve never owned a convertible and in fact don’t think I’ve ever driven one.
The S60 would be a fun choice just cause I like Volvos.

While living in FL, I was given rental cars the whole time. I went through Avis, but they’re fairly apples to apples with Hertz.
My favorite was the 2018 Mustang GT Premium I had for about a month when they first came out with the new 10 speeds (I gave it back with slightly less rear rubber than when I got it). That car was seriously fun.
I also had a few Camaros, but I couldn’t see out of the damn things, and they were all V6.
I once had a 370Z which developed a check engine light about 2 days into having it, so I returned it. t was ok minus the decade old interior and infotainment.
Th e one I enjoyed way more than I thought I would was the Charger R/T. Nice V8, okayish interior, and tons of room. Th e remote start helped too since I could get the AC cranking before getting into a black on black car in the Fl orida summer. That one also needed new rear tires when I gave it back for some reason.....
Other than that, it was a pretty regular rotation of 2wd v6 Rams, Silverados, and F-150s.

You could drive it around your neighborhood. You could sit in it in your driveway and fart while listening to the radio. You could practice parallel parking it in front of your house. You could use it for grocery shopping.

More infuriating are the sedan classifications from any rental company
