...And then try to sell it to someone else at a higher price, does that mean I’m flipping the ‘ bird?
Purely hypothetical, of course, since I don’t have 16.5k to spend on another car, especially not a duplicate of a car I already own. It is quite lovely, though. Makes me think of how pretty Phoebe will look one day...

These are great cars, but I'd have to get a convertible.

I would love a 3rd gen convertible. That’s the style I like. But I have a standing offer on a 57, and just not interested..

The convertibles are pretty, but very expensive and mechanically complex. Still, the fourth-gen Thunderbirds are less expensive than the others and a great deal as far as classic cars go.

But then Phoebe would be jealous... And with her not running, buying another Thunderbird of the same model in much better condition would feel like a bitter betrayal. Nope, I’m committed to restoring Phoebe.

I’m just a sucker for drop tops. PA h as a very favorable climate for them.

These are my favorite classic convertibles:
The Ford Skyliner was one of the first cars with a retractable hardtop, so you could have a convertible without the downsides that come with a fabric roof. Only downside is that when the roof is down, you have no trunk...

Fairlane 500 does it just as well with a breathtaking amount of wasted space.
Edit: that's the same car. Name change or mislabeled photo?

I think the Skyliner is a body style of the Fairlane, so every Skyliner is a Fairlane, but not every Fairlane is a Skyliner.

But I thought 500 was the trim of Fairlane?
