I had not intended on making guacamole but I had a ripe avocado, onion, tomato, and jalapeño on hand. It would be nicer with real homemade chips and some more peppers for spice. But I’m okay with mild guac on some tostitos. Great day to relax after my morning hike up the hill and bike ride down.

Also bought an area rug from costco so now my outdoor spot is more refined. My girlfriend describes it as very “Ryan style” (meaning it’s fitting that I would set it up this way).

And a bonus shot from yesterday where I saw a picture on reddit and then tried my best to replicate it.

Holy, smokes: is that the view from the deck where you live ?! I could get used to that view in a hurry . Real quick, like. Looks like you have some highly appropriate deck furnishings as well. #envy

I don’t know why the season’s quite so late, but I finally have a bunch of big avocados in the backyard tree up here. Normally, they peak in February-March, but I must have 200 of the damn things out there.

So, that looks like an excellent idea... if I can go to the store for the chips, that is.

Homemade guac is the best guac, really. As long as you have the right ingredients lying around, it’s super easy, too. Nice view!
