I can’t run 24/7 but I do what I can. water cooling really helps keep temps in line.

I’ve actually had to cut back my folding a little bit this week. The problem is heat. I’m working from home these days, and on the computer I’m using for folding. Since summer temps are already here (low/mid 90's) and my house is about 100 years old, running this PC at full load causes my home office to climb up a few degrees.

Hey my Alma mater is there. I would've thought that a compsci/engineering school like Waterloo would be killing it.

Wish I could help with my gaming rig but I don’t know how to fix it, I have to bring it to a tech I think.

When I still lived in Hawaii I made an air duct splitter, I gave about a quarter of the air flow to a smaller duct that went into my tower and it was ice cold.

Yup. Some of the guys talk about turning their PCs into space heaters. I deleted the CPU folding socket and now only the GPU socket runs and the amount of noise and heat dropped significantly. And the drop in PPD was negligible.

There are some pretty savvy guys around here that might be able to give you some pointers.

I just dropped the CPU from folding. Definitely a decrease in noise (fantastic, considering it was only good for ~10k PPD). We’ll see how it impacts the sauna that my office has become. :)
