Great vehicles, but mine had a tendency to turn it’s reverse lights on when it was raining for no reason .
When the car was off.
When the doors were locked and no one was near it.

We had no problems .
Except the 2.5L.

To be fair, the electrical issues were due to a corroding trailer wiring connector. And besides maintenance, I had no issues.
The rust was pretty bad though.

EDIT: wait, I forgot that I had to replace a heater core once. Still, it wasn’t that bad considering the dash is 3 inches deep on a XJ, and I didn’t have to disconnect the steering wheel fully.
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent
