I still don’t like the idea of a pre-planned “competition yellow” safety car period but the race was still fun overall. It’s a whole lot better than the zero racing we’re getting.

The Indycar virtual racing has been great since they’re doing their best to keep it similar to the actual Indycar broadcast.

The race finished around 15:50 EST so you’ll probably want to give some time for the livestream to finish to avoid any spoilers , or keep your mouse ready on the seekbar so that you start the stream from the beginning. I’ll leave that up to you.

I’ve been enjoying it greatly. I usually watch iRacing eSports, but having the production behind it has increased the fun a lot.

I’ve watched all 4 races. I really find it very realistic, the biggest clue that it’s not real is that the stands are full! One thing that it is helping me with is getting used to the windshields.

The other big tell is when there’s a collision, the game physics can react in a strange, hilarious way with some crashes.

But the parking lots are always empty

Actually the Formula E race at iMonaco had the worst spectator count  I’ve ever seen.

R ight, though out of all they are broadcasting (NASCAR, etc) I think the indy is visually the most accurate, least toy like.  Seems like the NASCAR races have cars bouncing off each other with somewhat limited effect.
