I messaged my neighbour to see if he wanted anything from the butcher’s today. I remembered his daughter’s boyfriend was hungry one day, so he ate my neighbour’s steak. I know he likes tomato sausage to but he said he can’t afford to shop at that butcher and shops at Aldi.

So today, I went and got a couple of Reyes for me and some juice and eggs, also half a kilo of tomato sausage and four fillet steaks.

Got home, gave him the sausage and steaks and then cleaned his car.

I didn’t want payment but took him up on the offer of a Guinness.

Happy days.

That was a great thing to do. For only a beer as payment too for food and a Svending.

I have a friend with a VW Eos just like that. A compact four seater convertible wasn't really what the market wanted but it is a fun car, even if you're the fifth person in it. Being the narrowest person for miles I've ridden in the not-a-seat for some short distances once or twice and I would not recommend it.

Good on ya Svend.

Also, you reminded me that it’s been a while since I’ve visited my local Bavarian  butcher. Might have to go pick up some whatever-wurst

He likes it and wanted it for him and his wife, get his two kids are still at home and they go away for a weekend in it with their, which is like a shiba in u, but not a shiba in u if you know what I mean. .

He doesn’t works because of his diabetes, eye condition and balance (but he’s safe to drive and has to be checked every year to keep his licence). He didn’t want anything too practical as when he had a bigger car everyone used to say, ‘well your not doing anything, you can help me move this, etc...’, so he deliberately got a less practical car. Lol.

My butcher is a couple of miles out of town but is more of a mini market that less local fresh and frozen produce. It’s a great atmosphere, the staff are always warm and welcoming. They asked how I was doing as they hadn’t seen me for a while, etc...

I wanted a thick ribeye steak, but they didn’t have a large slab for me (I like mine thick) to have a cut from, just what had already been cut, which were half an inch thick. So I took one of those for my step father and they removed the bone from a tomahawk for me. Gonna keep it simple st eak with steak cut chips.

It’s the right thing to do.

That is great for you to help him out. A similar thing happens in the US if you own a pickup truck (strangely not a minivan but people are weird) or a trailer, so buying no more than you need can be a boon. At least with the trailer you can just se nd them off and forget about it, but you are usually coerced into helping if you own the truck.

There are plenty of people who I would wash their cars for free, but one guy in particular I’ve never had the chance. His old F150 Lariat is covered in f il th so caked on that certain people are  unable to draw penises on the hood without something more substantial than a finger. You can’t even tell the color anymore. Looks more like the color of ashy skin. Strangely enough he keeps the whole thing very tidy with no trash. People are weird.

Good on you.

Also, what’s a tomato sausage? And a kilo?

Cheers mate.

A tomato sausage is sausage meat mixed with tomato paste. It’s not my thing but there are many that love it.

There are many flavours. Monterey Jack & Jala penos, Mozzarella & Smoked Tomato, Bacon & Maple Syrup , Pork & Bramley Apple, Welsh Cheddar & B acon, Pork & Three Chilli, Pork & Caramelised Red Onion, etc...

Lol. Not sure if kidding, but going to assume so.

In the U.K., new licence holders since, I think 2016, I’m really not sure when, need to get a licence to tow a trailer (if you got your licence prior to that, your grand fathered n and have it on your driving licence to two a trailer).

I do many of my neighbours and colleagues cars, only req uirement for me is that you like an appreciate your car, if it’s ‘just a tool’, or ‘an aid to get from A to B’, etc... then I don’t want to know. There are people that arange for me to do their car, then don’t get back in touch or don’t turn out. When they ask again (normally after the five no show do I tell them), I’m busy.

The bramley apple sausage is great with some mashed potato, the three chilli has a bit of bite to it but not ov erly strong , etc...

You can never be too sure in this day and age. Lol.
