My Spanish-2 professor just dropped our exams online, and as you can see, it feels a little too easy that either I might put off doing this entirely or get it wrong because I rushed it due to being overconfident.

The second page complicates things, but only just, and considering how loose he’s playing with notes, I get a sense that there’s only one answer to everything. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. What matters is that I’m way too cocky and need to be brought down a peg.

it’s funny that when an exam is too easy, the overthinking that results is more of a curse than a slightly more difficult exam.

T he fact that I can answer some of these having studied almost zero Spanish probably means that you can be confident, but don’t be reckless.

Also, I’ll bring you down a peg: you don’t know as much as you think and there’s always someone out there who knows more than you do.

That one I already know. I guess if that comment was entirely in Spanish then I would know just how far I am to fluency, even if I’ve watched Elite and La Casa de Papel from first ep to last, all on subs.
