In 1989 i bought a 1981 GTV6 at Paul Spruill Alfa in Atlanta. 3995 for a car that sold for 10x ? that new. Brilliant and dependable. I promised myself I would properly care for it, but college me could not afford to dealer maintain an Italian car. After 18 months or so traded for 86 Honda CRX si.

I doubt I can ever afford another GTV2000 which I also owned, now worried I can never have another GTV6. Most Milanos are also in the dustbin (which I also had) so probably fucked. The transaxle Alfas are so fun to drive!

That said, maybe I can pick up a very depreciated AWD newer Guilia in the next couple years. Also a real hoot to drive!

I saw a GTV once, it was in a junkyard though.

Last I checked the transaxle Alfas were going for sub $10k.  Maybe that is just a mid-west thing though haha.

Been a little while since I’ve seen prices like that regularly . Sorted driver Milano Verdes are $10k+ and GTV6s are $15k+. Really nice Milano Golds/Platinums can even command close to 5 digits, which blows my mind. 3.0 cars I get finally being expensive, that makes sense.
