I have been spending the week with the new !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I discovered something weird about the drive modes and the dual clutch transmission that I cannot explain.

Looks like a straight up UI quirk. Like the engineers just never even thought anyone would want to change drive modes while in S1... S1 is sort of its own thing, isnt it?

Thanks for the quick
comment.
W
ell it is S1, S2, etc. for the gear your in.
My E92
M3 has it too, if I wanted the car to select gears for me I can choose Drive or Sport. So D1 or S1. Many cars have this, but you are usually able to change settings while in it. It threw me off because I always figit with a car and then the drive settings when I get one.

That’s a bit odd.
Does it let you shift into neutral while driving by holding both paddles?

I’ll check for you next time I drive it (should be tomorrow afternoon ), but I would guess it doesn’t. Only paddle car that did that for me was a Ferrari.

I think the odds are low, but you never know with Hyundai. The C8 corvette does it!
