I was going through some paperwork this weekend and came across an old picture of my mom and aunt. My mom is the one sitting on the fender.
Based on their ages in this picture I’d guess it was taken in the late 1950’s.
I don’t know what car this is, but I know it was her grandfather’s. He owned a Desoto dealer at this time and typically drove older cars from Chrysler Corp.

You’re on the right track - by the hubcaps alone, I believe this is a Mopar product. DeSoto/Plymouth/Dodge, not sure what, as they extremely similar, differing most by the grille conveniently blocked by your aunt.
