My personal idea of a grin shift is 4 t0 3, rev-matched (by me)

I wish mine had an overboost feature! Or maybe it does and I’ve never heard of it. Or maybe it’d be useless because the car already hates the front tires with a passion.
They can keep their DCT though.

As automatics go it should be fun. For those who have to commute in legit bad traffic where stop-n-go will glaze the hell out of a clutch, there are certainly worse options than this. I like the new optional sport seats too, they help make the interior a bit less dreary and more special feeling.

I like the performance package it offers for the price but I'm not sold on the form factor. I'd prefer the N goodies in i30 a.k.a. Electra GT shape for better rear seat & cargo room and visibility. And I want a damn sunroof. If I had to pick a sport compact right now it'd be a Civic Si, but that's manual only so doesn't fit this hypothetical stop n go niche I created.

Grin Shift - the 3/4 mile, two lane entrance ramp I take daily that results in a 1-2-3-4 redline ooh shit look at the spee dometer.
Hyundai is doing all the right things lately, I hope to support them with a car purchase some day. Now if only they had a Hyundai N RWD MT wagon... perhaps a Palisade
