Ordered some Rally Armor flaps for the new van as I got sick of road crap spraying up the sides.

Got the rears installed last night:

Nice! I may need to get some of those myself. A really muddy Cruze can be kind of funny, but road grime from splashing through puddles just looks like crap.

I’ve got the same ones on my car. A local kid with a modded STi was like sweet mud flaps. Made my day.

Yeah, especially on black on a car with that much surface area . Reddish orange hides actual mud and dirt pretty well, but road grime still shows.

That stimulus cheque isn't going to spend itself

The van looks good with them!

Got a question about painting wheels and figured you’d be a good one to ask. Any pointers? What do you use when you spray? Do you have a gun? I’m just looking to clean up a set of winter wheels so I don’t need to go crazy, I'll probably just use some rattle cans.   I know first and foremost paint prep is key. What other pointers do you have?

Shit son, that stimulus check is already spoken for.

This van needs coils and plugs.

T he rally van needs new leaf springs, new hitch, winch mounts, spare tire mount, rock sliders, top end swap..........

The crap sprayed up the sides after a fresh wash was really pissing me off.

I know these flaps do wonders, I have the same ones on my 94.

Sand them well, wipe down with wax and grease remover, prime, paint, clear.

Usually I just use rattle cans for wheels, just use quality stuff and it holds up fine. The only “special” thing I do is buy actual automotive clear to clear coat them.

If I do them super nice, like my friend’s wheels, I used my gun. I primed/sealed them after sanding, let it dry, scuffed it. Then I laid on paint, 3 light coats, then one “shine” coat, scuffed again once dry. Then I laid on 3 coats of clear, wetsanded once dry, then laid a final coat.
