I took the X-1/9 in today to have the rear calipers and braided brake lines installed. The oil pressure light has been flickering at low idle, so they are going to take a look at that. Otherwise, it is doing well. I've been playing around the neighborhood on the Vespa the last few days, and after letting it sit for months, I am reminded of how many smiles it brings. You can just barely see the Stella tucked in front of the Fiat. I'm going to get that one running this week.

The scooter is apparently the official vehicle of Oppo this year for good reason.

But all encompasses scoot. Is the power of scoot so great that the mere presence of others dilutes the experience according to the law of diminishing marginal utility?

If I had a garage I probably would have got my engineless 19 66 150 Super out of storage and crammed an LML 200 with a 10cc M al ossi kit in it and got everything going. There was a guy making electric kits for classic Vespas but he seems to be gone now. It is pretty convenient for swaps because everything is mounted on the rear swing arm. I think the guy was putting a bunch of batteries in the glovebox area to help balance it out. Anyway I was kind of keeping the frame for something like that. My Hawaii motorcycle license is expired and it seems like a lot of trouble to just use it to pop down to the shop sometimes. It’s tempting since there are a few motorcycles double parked in our assigned spaces and nobody has a problem with it. But park an orange Z out there for longer than 24hrs and the pitchforks and torches come out. There is a huge old folks community down the street and all their employees come in from out of the county and really treat the street like shit, they park like crap and leave trash by their cars. So it makes the cops look harder at parked cars here. Then I go around the other areas in Larkspur and I see trailers, boats and covered cars that haven’t moved for months sitting and nobody cares!

I figure 5 pounds per 1000 RPM. Not sure if it applies to Fiats but as long as it develops pressure at RPM I figure it ok.

I kind of wish people would pay more attention to their parking here since people park alternately on one side of the road then the other for no reason at all. That said how do you know people hate your orange Z? Put cones around it like CoFL. I would be delighted to see that every day.

Forgot all about the Fiat. Will be nice to see it rehabilitated.

I have a pretty good idea of the part of south Marin you are describing and I can imagine the irritation .

I don't have enough active brain cells at the moment to fully process that ... But I'm gonna go with ... Sure.

Well I’m in a condo, if I was up one of the streets near here I would have no problems from what I see.

I’m in a condo so any car parked in a so called guest space is supposed to move, but if you have a grey Prius nobody does anything. But park an orange classic and everyone notices and suddenly cares, put notes on the car to move etc... I hate it, I need a fucking garage and driveway since I have four vehicles.

Tough. The rules are never enforced equally because the majority is too boring to care about. I happen to like colorful cars so I hope this doesn’t become a problem for me in the future.
