thats it right there. Sony1492 was a great pathfinder for me, with his guess, directing me right to the problem. Just for Kicks, I had my B-I-L scan codes and found a p-something and one very concerning old code about cam position sensor which is a frontier I would not want to have to explore. The thought of that scared me the same as if godzilla came waddling down my street. Now I know the repair will be somewhat simple, and can enjoy the l eafs as the start to bloom instea d of spending my time of some miserable fuckery. I would expect it to take a t itan of car repair to attem pt that sort of repair. I also have the armada of emails with notes from my girls’ teachers to go through too. I’ll probably go on a safari to Autozone and grab the part for this weekend. Well enjoy your day and give it your maxima.

I think it's nearly time for the Quest for a new van.

nope, that sucker has to stick around for a while. it only has 100500 miles. So far it hasn’ t been that bad, the cat was a PITA and it needs an oil pan. other than that, aside from what my wife has done to it, its held together fine.

Nissan Quests are critical and important vehicles. There are very few options for finding a Q when playing the alphabet game with my kids

I had a similar problem with my truck. The flex boot after the MAF was cracked and broken on the underside where I couldn’t see it. Once I figured it out, I used a healthy wrapping of duct tape to create a temporary repair. The rough idle and inconsistent throttle response went away immediately.

Or you’ll be rogue and refuse to fix the Quest.

I just replaced the Cam Positions sensors on the G6. Though, that is only a 4 cyl so I only had 2 to contend with. On the scale of ease with 1 being the thermostat on a SBC and 10 being the timing chain guides on an Audi V8, I would rate it a .5. It’s almost as easy as replacing the batteries in your TV remote. Or it was on a GM product. Your mileage may vary.

thats good to know. If autozone doesn’ t have it I might do the quick fix. Witht he lockdown, my wife isn’ t driving anywhere anyway so its not a huge rush.
