This post really blew up in views. I know someone can track down the outside link that made this happen. Anyone?

Man, the hordes from the lawnmower and starter motor forums have arrived!

Yeah I occasionally get that on my posts and I have no idea how or why it happens. Seems to be related to a post hanging out in the side bar for an extended period, but the increase in comments is not proportional to the traffic... I would also like to know how it happens

Must be a common problem.

G oogle will place certain oppo posts in its,”recommended for you” section. This is why you might see 5k view with only regular comments or a bunch of pending.
There may be more to it but that's what I've seen

Most people get that every once in a while. The title and lack of ads on Oppo will place it really high in the search results.
For instance, it’s not hard to see why this post of mine blew up to 65k views (my highest), even though it is about a car no one would be googling.
