This one will actually be submitted to BaT soon... It belongs to a friend who also exports cars for a living.
And a few minis on the way back!

Mitsubishi Oz were supposed to be bringing in a hundred examples of the latest version to Oz showrooms...I guess that, like the Olympics, that's been put off for a year.

It’s hard not to wonder how top heavy that is. I’ve been in a few hairy off-road situations with my Wrangler that I’m not entirely confident wouldn’t have been trouble for a Delica.

Cool pics! I saved one or two for computer wallpapers! :D
Delicas are not REALLY common here, but even here in Nova Scotia, there are enough of them around to not be super surprising! There’s a big love for them here in Canada, it seems! :D

That narrow climb in the sixth photo would be a little hairy in a full size rig!

As much as I like those cabover van, I’d be scared to death driving it down hill

I’ve had some pretty good leaning angle with them and they really aren’t bad... They aren’t Jeeps but they’ll tackle close to anything you’d throw at them.

It’s really not bad once you get used it... The first times are a bit hairy but after it’s no problem at all

Minis! I took ours out for a run Saturday. It’s got a good tune on it now and is running like a champ. Start on the first crank and purrs.

Before my finances became too precarious to keep teasing myself I had a Craigslist alert configured for Delicas, but the only ones that ever showed up were cross-posts from BC.

I heartily approve of that color scheme.

My local brewery has like 5 Delicas that they use as company vehicles. The owner said every time Japanese Classics finds one to import they ask him if he wants it.

Well, if you ever talk to them, tell them I can get some for A LOT cheaper than what Japanese Classics charges haha

Haha perfect match

Yes, even more popular in BC!

Nice! You should go with a DCOE40 Weber swap on yours... Mine was a 998cc with one and gosh... It was awesome! So much better than the SU.

Hey, I’ve got a somewhat unrelated question for you (or Kat, or any other Japanese speaking Oppo) :
I think the Pajero rates a vanity plate, and it has to be something playing off how slow it is. I’m thinking “Mattari, ” which I understand to be a Japanese term for chilling out, or “a lazy state of leisure.” Is this correct?

Oh crap I had to check the video again haha, I would have sworn you had a stock SU on it :)
Then yeah, you’re all set haha

Oh my japanese is crap... I can somewhat have easy-ish conversations but that’s about it... I have no idea what mattari means, and actually neither does my wife when I pronounce it the way it’s written in romanji haha
“Osoi” would mean slow...
