So therapeutic...

Are there parking spots marked off in front of your house?
Nice neighborhood. Are those older homes that have been well taken care of? or new homes made to look like old homes?

Is that a Eurovan across the street? Been forever since I’ve spotted one. Also, you would be surprised what passes for a lawn in my area (including my own).

I did the same this afternoon. It took like 2 minutes because it is very small. Yours looks like actual work, and very nice!

Well, my house was 1904, the house you see kiddy-corner is 1909, the house across is 1914...

Yes, it’s a camper Eurovan that moves once in a blue moon. They have lots of toys over there.

Much worse than the mowing is all the edge work required being a corner lot.

I like this place a lot more than 132nd and whatever

Oh yeah that would be rough. I edge mine like twice a year because, again, very small .

That’s vaguely where my office is. It’s only the worst area in all of Snohomish County, no big deeeeeeeeal.

I share my dad’s view that the ideal PNW lawn is moss. Still green, doesn’t need mowed, and it’s nice and soft.

I am glad that mine hasn’t started growing yet. Probably have a few more weeks before it gets persistently warm enough to support grass growth

So green! We were out raking yesterday and I managed to snap a yard rake in two. That meant an outing to the local Ace to get a new one. Never has a trip to Ace felt like such an epic road trip. Still was only able to do half the backyard before the yard waste bin was full. I hate pine needles.

Roof, the ideal PNW roof is moss. That was hard to get used to seeing.

I pulled my grill out this afternoon. By 6pm it was starting to snow. We now have about a 1/4 inch on the ground. Still, the chicken, brats & veggies came out very well.

I haven’t had time to do my front yard and the desert bas reclaimed it. It’s rock with two trees and lots of cacti, so it kind of looks like it was on purpose. A quail thought it looked nice and made a nest.
Probably gonna leave the native “weeds” and just pull the invaders. Plant some more cacti.

Yes, I also mowed my mo ss today.

Corner lots are tough if you have to clear the snow.

Meanwhile, my car has become something of a clusterfuck at the body shop because of the pandemic. Not enough people. And I had sent the glass guys over to install the rear window on the car, but the headliner hadn’t been installed before then (I had very
specifically
told the body shop to have the headliner in by that time - they did not).
And then it turns out the installer didn’t even put in the weather strip gasket. What the hell in the fuckass is going on here. On top of that, Mayor puts out a shelter-in-place order for the town, sure to fuck with getting the car done.
Jesus Christ, it’s been from one shitshow to the next, constantly, for the last two weeks. I am just about ready to pack up and leave the state entirely once Coronavirus blows over.

Ha I ran the mower over mine yesterday too. But it was more for mulching leaves. Promptly started snowing the minute I came inside after.
