Ouch dude. Glad you were geared up, based on how the bike looks you could have been much worse off. I’m glad none of my crashes ever lead to that many brokens. Mostly offroad spills into dirt and brush, and that one 95-year-old man pulling in front of me in a Mercedes 450SEL ‘vert... Soft top was way nicer to land on than a hard roof.

In any case, heal up good! Sorry about the bike.

Glad you are relatively ok! Guard rails terrify me on 2, especially cheese slicers, but the blunt force of poles ain't much better. Take it easy recovering, doing too much too soon can easily create large set backs.

If you have pictures of your gear, that would be an excellent example of why you wear it to the numbskulls who don’t.

Also, if you have the chance, reach out to whoever made your gear and tell them that you’re thankful for it and that it saved your life. Maybe you’ll get lucky and they’ll send you some new gear or a discount code or something?
