As previously documented back in August the 250 got some new leaf springs, shocks, wheels, tires. My regular travels are very short, maybe a couple of miles and I have a company vehicle 2 weeks out of every month. So while it’s been a while since I did all that suspension work the miles weren’t many.
Driving home yesterday I noticed some peculiar suspension clunking. Nothing too crazy, just an odd knock over bumps. Previously the sway bars had liked to work their nuts loose and add some clonking.
Holy shit was this not the case. 4 of my 8 u-bolt nuts were finger loose. They got cranked down and every other nut and bolt got checked. But damned if that wasn't a scary realization. So Oppo, please go check your nuts.

*un zip s pants* nope, nuts still there, still properly attached. No, i’m NOT putting a torque wrench to them

Yes but torque is super misleading depending on the handle length .... Wait- no...

Thought about it. Was too worried about making sure things that needed to be greased were greased. Nevermind the ones that dont need to move.

i have not.... forklift driver at a previous job did tho
moving a pallet stacked with smaller pallets when the bottom one broke sending the whole lot sideways... missed me by atleast oh..an inch or two
me - woah...that was close *starts picking up pallets*
him - ohfuckohfuckofuckohfcuk*hyperventilates and turns ghostly white*
he was ok an hour or so later
i guess thats the difference between just having a near miss and just nearly killing a co worker

Just checked (got a funny look from the woman behind me in the queue though), they are all there.
No lumps on them either.
Question, is it normal to have one higher than the other two?

Damn friend, lucky you caught it! That could've
been bad...

Lockwiring might be a good safety measure for this kind of problem .

Yep, totally normal.

Cheers mate. Your a teacher after all and you handle wood all the time.
So you’d know if there was a balls -up ( or down) and whether it was okay or could be repaired .
