Fluffy, hungry for souls...and herbs.

Very hungry. Look at those big, hungry, soft eyes. The cuddliness is real, but also, she’s out for food. It’s why she’s at a dinner table, after all, even though this is an old photo and we both think it sucks that Polvos charges for salsa when none of theirs are really stand-out hits. Homemade tortillas only get you so far when Lots-O-Salsa is a staple of the genre, guys. (But I digress.)

Fluffy doesn’t eat fresh tortillas by the mountain-full like some people, though. Fluffy eats souls. The less worthy, the better. Much like my favorite cheese, Fluffy’s snacks are one of the few places where herbs belong.

YUP.

On one hand, I get it. Land ain’t cheap in Austin, and every little extra thing that’s offered from the chips to the hot sauce on the table to the garnish on the plate adds up. However, you’ve got to bring it if you say you’re going to charge for something that everyone else offers for free. Like, I would pay extra for Trudy’s tart, oniony green salsa. Otherwise, just fiddle with your other prices to make up the difference like everybody else probably does so no one notices.

Exactly. Charging for salsa? Everyone notices.  Add $0.35 to every major menu item?  Meh.
