We may very well double the traffic of drivetribe.

Is DT that dead, or are we that good?

A bit of each perhaps? I’ve posted one thing on DT and had a site admin contact me about posting it to a main feed and seen a different site admin comment to someone else’s post to thank the OPPO members for the content we’ve brought them.

Sounds like a mutually beneficial relationship

I keep thinking David Tracy every time I see DT. That was jarring for a second.

Kinjas loss, DT’s gain.

Maybe that means they’ll want to keep us!

Bi
t of both, from my poking around it seems like
the whole tribe format means it’s really silo’ed. If we have a big active group posting and commenting
incessantly
it’s going to
get bumped
to the common areas at the front much
more easily than the many smaller
groups that probably outnumber us.

We’re just a surprisingly large community that is about to be homeless and I don’t think DT ever truly took off. It’s like a gift from GMG to whichever site gets most of us.

Curiou s how large we really are, do we number in the thousands with regualr anonymous viewers

We can get together 10-15 members with ease pretty much anywhere in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia, so it appears we’re at least in the thousands, likely tens of thousands, with relatively high engagement. The Oppo FB group, which really isn’t comparable to the blog, has 5.2k members, and I suspect this site has at least 8-10x as many casual readers...

That would make alot of sense for DT then
