I was thinking about asking Santa for a zoom lens this year, but maybe a macro lens would be the thing.... I haven’t been good enough to get both

I owned this (or an earlier version) and it was a great lens for not only closeup photography but also telephoto. I’d highly recommend, and I miss it dearly.
