I wanted McCain to win the GOP nomination in 2000. I still think he would have made a decent choice in 2008, going with Palin was a bad and desperate move.

I did vote for him, but was not at all upset when Obama won instead. I genuinely felt like they were both good candidates.

It’s why I cringe when people call him a socialist, and do so in a negative way . From a Western European perspective, so a very much capitalist perspective, Biden is moderatly right wing. He is certainly not left of someone like Angela Merkel, who is a conservative.
It does not have to be your cup of tea, I totally respect that, but the suggestion that there is anything extreme about Biden is simply false. Except maybe his age.
