This summer I stumbled upon a Yeti camping chair and was astonished at the price tag.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
A few nights ago I sat down in one. Today I own one.
If you need a portable chair with lumbar support, you too might find it well worth it. I’ll need it for a few weeks of cabin living over the holidays.

I might need one of those as well.

What’s the weight limit on those chairs? I’m unfortunately under .500 in sitting in camping/lawn chairs

That thing looks amazing. I’ll admit I was a yeti holdout too. A few weeks ago my wife and I were a dicks buying tennis shoes and we wandered past their yeti tumbler section. We bought one in a pretty red and that fucker is amazing. Keeps things hot or cold for literally hours. Blew my damn mind!

It’s all downhill from here. Soon you’ll be wearing a yeti hat, putting a yeti decal on both Jeep’s, admiring them while sipping from your yeti tumbler, and get a dog specifically so you have a use for the yeti dog bowls you felt compelled to buy.
Realistically though their chairs aren’t too far out of line with other good quality chairs. I have quite a few of the $20 and under chairs, but at my size and age they’re only usable for so long. I’ve got a bonus coming soon in the form of an Amazon gift card, and if my wife doesn’t insist we use it to Christmas shop I’ll be buying a really nice camp chair.

I won’t buy any Yeti stuff because the price offends me, but I do have a Yeti mug from work and a bucket I was given as a gift. The mug works better than any other and the bucket is stupidly handy and I use it all the time for all kinds of tasks - all of which could be acco mplished with a regular bucket, but for whatever reason aren’t . My girlfriend has a Yeti cooler than works great too, but I hate having to pick it up. In short, the products are super nice and I’m jealous of your chair.

He’ll be drinking chilled Perrier from one of those expensive Yeti coolers.

THREE HUNDRED BUCKS

It’s curious: the page says the fabric supports up to 500lbs, but doesn’t talk about the frame. So, probably 500?
You can find one to try at Dick’s, and I imagine other sporting goods stores.

THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

Well, shit, now I have to try one of those.

My wife promptly stole it - now I need to buy one for myself.
I’ll have to give that chair a look too - my wife has a bad back so camping chairs and her don’t always mix well.
I did buy a knockoff yeti cooler - monoprice has some that are pretty good quality rotomolded coolers at like 1/4 yeti price.

And don’t forget the yeti coozie to ensure it stays at optimal temperature no matter how leisurely he sips.

Might I humbly suggest RTIC? Pretty sure it was started by a former YETI designer and is pretty much the same thing sans the price.

Thanks. Their chairs don’t look comparable (need that back tensioner) but I’ll give the mugs a shot.

I have the mugs, beer cozies and coolers. I have not found any difference between them and the Yeti stuff I have. In fact Yeti did sue them and forced them to change their mugs because they were basically identical lol.

Try it once and you’ll see.

I am a total chair snob, so you are probably correct.

He’s already rushing out to buy one of those.

Those are titanium legs and carbon fiber fabric. Totally worth it. yeah, right...
Actually, if weighed 1 lb, I might see myself shelling out 300 bucks for it.
In the meantime, I’ll just put a pillow behind my back.
![]() 11/12/2020 at 14:22 |

Yeah, my back needs a good chair, but I think I can live without a $200 blanket.

Hell, maybe if you actually know chairs you’ll recognize that I erred. I just know I can’t use a cheap camping chair or a straight-backed wooden chair for very long, and this felt amazing t o me (for a portable chair, anyway).
![]() 11/12/2020 at 14:35 |

That is a $60 bucket
![]() 11/12/2020 at 14:40 |

If the fabric can hold it up I’d assume the frame can. That might be worth the $300
![]() 11/12/2020 at 14:40 |

It’s the most absurd thing I own. At one pint I wanted a lid, but it’s like $35 which is more than I can pay for a lid.

I carry a Herman Miller Aeron with me on camping trips

Dude I buy patagonia clothing, which is fucking expensive, but not Yeti expensive. Patagonia is also worth it, I have yet to retire any of my patagonia clothing items.

Does that thing wipe your ass when you get up? Does it have WiFI?
![]() 11/12/2020 at 15:09 |

Does that blanket come with WiFi and an unlimited subscription to anime porn?

Soon enough one of your Jeeps will have a 6" Rough Country lift in the front and a two inch drop in the back. On it will be Chinese replica GM wheels, no less than 24" in diameter, with unheard of brand low pro mud grips that cost an absurd amount of money a piece.
This is the Yeti lifestyle you’ve joined.

I have two of their tumb lers from work. One is just ok, but I like this one:
https://www.yeti.com/en_US/drinkware/rambler-30-oz-tumbler/21070070027.html
I’m not sure I could justify the cost of that chair though.
![]() 11/12/2020 at 21:08 |

All it does is spare my back, and since I only have one of those, and I will need it for the rest of my miserable life, it’s a pretty decent investment.

I’m trying to decide if I’m ok with dripping, which the video specifically says will happen. I was curious about RTIC, and their video doesn’t say it’ll drip but you can see it nonetheless when she demos it.
I’ll probably pick one that’s more difficult to open.

Even my one with the magnetic slider will leak if you hold it upside down. Probably about two drops a second, so not a ton, but it’s certainly not water-tight. On the other hand, the magnet is really strong, it’s fun to dangle things near it.
