I love the front end shots of all these . It took me a second to figure it out, but the light wipers look like eyebrows and they all look SO ANGERY! ANGERY jeeps are now very unoriginal in my mind, Volvo did it first.

Also, not to be morbid, but I WANT A VOLVO HEARSE!

I need those giant E-Code TV screen headlights & matching wipers. Also the seats.

Don’t know if I’m eager to ride in a Volvo ambulance. The non-turbo 240 is already slow so I don’t think making it a diesel hauling around extra weight would help. Good chance I’ll be dead by the time we make it to the hospital!

I can see this as a comedy sketch: the 240 ambulance brakes hard for a child and all the panels fall off revealing it’s really the hearse underneath.

I got lucky - someone crashed a low-mile 240 sedan with the seats I wanted, so I scored two 7 /10 seats that are still better than what the car came with.

If you can find a good passenger seat it i s possible to swap passenger and driver seat bases (o ne level up from the rails). The backs are also swappable. I’ve done this.

A layer of denim attached with spray adhesive between the springs and foam of the base is an option too . Did this 7 years ago and now find very little dried foam on my carpet. Nice and firm too.
