Daily Opponews Suggestion

One of the turnoffs of Jalopnik is that I cannot initiate a post. As a suggestion to the Mods, you might try posting a daily Opponews post so we could write like a chat board to the oppo alumni.

I’ll probably be on drive tribe for the most part, b ut it would give me a reason to see what’s up here on a daily basis once the lights go out.

Is that okay? Oppo is the only social media I partake of. I’m just trying to do my best to preserve the community. I never imagined that you’d do a Samantha and here we’d be!

Hells yes it’s ok! I love it and am in the same boat as you. Outside of some friends I text, this is all I got for social interactions now!

Thanks! I’m a fan so far.

I was going to do a PHPBB forum first and then had forgot just how dated that looked now so went researching for another open source option and found this.  It’s not perfect, but solid.

How much traffic do you want. Make it daily and I would probably stop by daily. If it is once a week, I’ll stop by that or less, My browsing is Temple of VTEC a couple times a month, The Drive, once or twice a week, Autoweek once or twice a  week. If you try to do daily interactions, I will try to stop by, Just a suggestion to keep Jalopnik relevent to the old Oppo users now that they have been evicted.

I’m guessing content by  OPPO alum will get mentioned regularly on the new OPPO, so that will maintain some connection. Rory & crew are currently working with our mods, so hopefully that will foster a future close relationship.
