I’m not super fond of Discord or Drivetribe. I just have a hard time adjusting to their layouts.

(This situation fucking sucks. I spend so much time on here and for all its’ quirks, I’m really used to Kinja)

There is, but it was formed by a splinter group that was unhappy with the mods here running a tight ship and as a result it’s a lot less friendly and community-y than Kinja Oppo.

And yeah, I agree. When it’s working correctly Kinja i s probably the best possible platform for this sort of community.

Well I will never use Facebook, I switched my Drive Tribe name to match my Oppo . It looks really cool, you can put your vehicles on there and there are tons of other tribes to be a part of.

Discord isn’t a replacement for Oppo, it’s mostly just a daily chat for Opponauts, but is a good place atm to keep up on the discussion of wherever our new ‘home’ ends up being. There are several Opponauts, the Oppo mods and some Jalopnik staff working on various options.

Discord is way too different for me, just can’t get used to that. But from my limited experience, Drivetribe looks and feels much like Kinja.

I don’t use Facebook.

Its gotten much better. The most active mod is a guy who used to be very active here , and he cracked down on the shittyness.

I'm on it as well, and you should try it out.

Its different than here, but it is good. I miss the screen names, because it's hard to correlate who is who. Plus you really can't do anything long form there.

Apparently Kinja User Groups are shutting down on the 16th and getting wiped at the end of November.
