The ad doesn't seem to say. But when I googled the VIN, the website claimed that first 10... 12?... characters imply it had the 4.0 and not the Vulcan. If so: nice! However the sellers MPG estimates seem optimistic in either case.

Way too much at a quarter mil miles. 1.5k-1.75k tops. My dad had one. Sure they’re fun but those are disposable trucks at best.

The 4.0 seems to be a lot more common, at least around here.

Cool truck but I wouldn’t pay more than 2500 for it with those miles and that creeping rust.

Pretty much every Ranger has around 200k miles. And any Ranger I've seen under $2k is a complete heap.

Up here if you ever find a spit-shined 4x4 for sale, there's that crushing moment when they show the engine bay and it's the 3.0

I had the 3.0 with the 5 speed manual in my Mazda, it was awful in the foothills and mountains, but fine in the valley. I bought it new and sold it several months later, after getting my Dakota R/T. That Taurus engine might be fine for flatlanders that don’t use their truck to tow or carry much in the bed, otherwise avoid it.
