If I recall, there aren’t any real adblockers on iOS, just “adblocker browsers”.

Kinja doesn’t appear to be fond of Google logins through Safari, lately. Constantly get kicked out. I’ve made note of it. :)

It slows my laptop way down too. I just... don’t read it anymore. The ads and slideshows killed the site for me.

I use Ad Blocker, Ad-Blocker Pro (they’re different) and AdGuard. The three together do a pretty good job of blocking 90% of the front page ads.

Idk about Apple, but I use adguard dns on my android phone a nd PIA vpn also has adblocking baked into it. I also use Brave browser.

I usually don’t see ad’s.

I know ads are king, but the pages are so overloaded that my iPhone will often ‘ crash’ the page and reload it if it has any length to it at all. And I’m not running on some 6 year old jailbroken junker.

But I guess....if the page force reloads that’s double the ad revenue, right?  ;)

My old Android phone runs the ancient Android 7.1 version (I think it’s up to V11?) . Jalopnik and many other ad driven sites send my version of Chrome into a sea of black noise as the phone desperately tries and fails to wrangle it all...
