I’m usually a huge fan of two tone on cars, and trucks, Especially from the factory. Today I encountered what might by the ugliest two tone ever. The vehicle it was applied on wasn’t helping any either, a Taurus X. There was actually lots of colors available on the X and 4 options for the lower portion of the two town. Camel, Sand, Black, and Light Stone. Today I saw a Dune Gold/Light stone (gold and grey) Taurus X. And boy it didn’t look good. It wasn’t a one off either cuz I found these pics of others
On the flip side here’s some good two tone.
This truck is for sale.

Also fun note I’m dyslexic and it’s really hard to type two tone without ending up with town town

Our Suburban growing up was that Silverado 2 tone. It was rad.

It’s a good look. I see one often. A 2wd long box that is minty clean.

I’ve always felt the worst applied two tone was on Subaru’s. There is no flow whatsoever thanks to the rear bumper panel shape.

Yes the faked cladding on the Impreza Sport was awful

Saw one of these again just the other day and thought to myself, “oh yeah, I always hated this two-tone.”

The two-tone stopped looking good once they got away from the flat bumper lines.

I saw one of those GMT 400s in that paint scheme with American Racing AR-39s. Honestly, I thought it looked pretty good!

I mean, I wouldn’t even call that two-tone. It’s just cladding, which seems different. I wouldn’t call it handsome though, the grey cladding overwhelms the gold a bit too much.

Those wheels are almost classic now. They were on like every modified truck in the 90s.

That looks like the middle stage in the process of en Escape morphing into a Freestyle
