Id rock the hell out of that. Show up at cars in coffee in a fucking ra v-4. Back into a spot in a crowded row and watch the confusion

I really like the front of it, but in the photo of the black one at least, the rear looks really ugly to me. It’s got too many character lines, and gives the impression that it came dented from the factory. Oddly enough, this isn’t nearly as big of an issue on the more colorful ones for some reason. So I like it, but wow, never buy a black one.

Horrible, and neat. Neatly horrible?

And who knew Suzuki was rebadging the RAV-4 Prime?? I’m just goad they’re still alive to make Jimnys! https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/suzuki-across-toyota-rav4-based-suv-priced-£45599

The retro cues combined with the modern lines are confusing my brain.

I like it with the classic steelies. I think this is the 1st Mitsuoka I like.

Same, they really seemed to go after the ‘old Chevy truck’ vibe, but, weirdly, even with the modern body lines and the classic styling cues, I think they really hit a mix that somehow just works!
![]() 10/29/2020 at 15:10 |

I somehow think they did a really good job of combining them! It sortof reminds me of a modern Nissan Figaro with how well it blends modern with classic cues (at least to my eyes...)
![]() 10/29/2020 at 15:11 |

Yup, a lot of really big Chevy cues...

That seems almost as weird as FIAT rebadging the Suzuki SX4 as the FIAT Sedici back in the day!

I mean, it’s not a train wreck or anything. My mind is just having problems processing the mashup.

If I HAD to buy a modern SUV (I’m generally not a fan of them), this is one of the few larger ones I would ever actually consider! I wonder if Mitsuoka would make a kit so you could convert North-American spec RAV-4s to look like this...

I really like the whole package! I think they did a really good job combining the retro and modern styling cues!

Their corvette Miata (Miata corvette?) is pretty rad, I think

I forgot about that. I like that one too.

This would have been a more acceptable Blazer resurrection IMO

Oh man, so much yes...

The Ray was a b eautiful little car.
Also,s ome versions of the Viewt aren’t terrible, though the classic Jaguar look falls apart once you see the interior.

This. I was like “Ooohhhhh....ewwww..” Front is great. Back is maybe better than “awful” but it’s far short of “good.”

Man, just goes to show what a stupid hipster I am. I clicked that link and was like “I immediately like this more.

Oh hell yeah. This is way better.

Yeah, I dig it.
I actually like the current RAV-4's looks ... Which is a thing I can't believe I'm saying.

I don’t mind the current RAV4...there really aren’t many SUVs I truly hate the styling of...I just find most so generic nowadays.

I can't say why, but I find it rather handsome. Especially in a good color, like the light blue they have. My neighbor recently bought a dark blue one. It is also nice looking.

They do look
nice in dark colors, I agree!

It could really use some smoothing out. It’s probably just that way because that roof panel is structural and not an easy thing to change, but it definitely feels like they could’ve done better there. If this were a body kit sold separately, I’d just order the front and leave the back stock.
![]() 10/29/2020 at 20:34 |

For the front end, yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you. It looks li ke the Chevy Blazer we actually wanted Ch evy to make. It’s just in the rear where the bumper meets up with the roof, it kinda just looks like crumpled paper. Not the best transition.

could’ve been a lot worse.

I mean, I like the Blazer. And TBH, if the Blazer came back like this, the complaint would then be with the engines and drivetrain available.
But effectively BURNING the name “Blazer” instead of just making a new one up drives me nuts... especially at a time when the Bronco is looking like it’s going to be a real hit.
Should’ve used “Trailblazer” and made a Colorado-based Blazer instead. It’s pretty much a spiritual Trailblazer descendant anyway.
And I like the new Trailblazer as well!!! Both of these vehicles look good, apparently drive well, and appear good value. But the NAMES

o, that second one is pretty well done!
